As the grades are rolling in slowly, and so far they aren't great, but they don't need to be all that great. I did what I needed to do this semester and just pass all of my classes. The main thing is just to keep collecting credits and get the hell outta here. Next semester's lineup is set, but I have to try and switch the time of my Marketing section so I can have it at 0945 Tuesday/Thursday instead of the 0800 section I currently have.
We had our first game of the season today, and from the get-go it left much to be desired. After the 1st, we were down 4-0, and we ended up losing by a score of 6-0. I got in the game in the 9th and turned the 6-4-3 double play, and made the last out of the inning when I caught a pop fly. Our centerfielder must have called for it at the same time I did, because I never heard him, and he ended up running into my back. The game ended with me on deck, so I did not get a chance to hit. Our next game is down in wonderful(ly far) Austin, MN, about 90 minutes south of the Twin Cities. Hopefully this year if the game gets cancelled, we find out before driving all the way down there, but we'll see.
Last night, Lauren and her roommates through an "end of the year party" and I made it in after I got done with work. There is nothing like a few jello-shots, and drinks here and there mixed with people making amends and having a great time. On Wednesday, Lauren leaves for home for the summer, and we haven't really talked about what we are going to handle it when she does. It won't necessarily be a problem of communication, but just a matter of finding the time and the means in which to visit. Personally, I have 2-3 games a week from Friday-Sunday alone, and I'm sure that when she gets a job that she will have her own schedule to deal with. I'm heading home this weekend, and since she is only 45 minutes away from there, I'm sure that we might find a way to run into each other.
It's here, it's here, and on Sunday my Mom graduates from college!! I'll get to see the family, and take a well needed break from Minnesota in general. I can't wait.
Take care
